so, i did some tests, and saw that my CPU at idle is at 30C and under load never goes above 61C (which is good i guess, thinking of overclocking) my gpu's however in idle are at 50C (top gpu) and 46C (bottom gpu) and under load they are at 78C and 76C but probably go even higher to 80+.

It definitely changes the way the cooling engine works, as it goes from a horizontal split flow to a vertical one. The thermal images do however show slightly better cooling with the case in the horizontal orientation, with the chipset and MOSFET heatsinks as well as CPU radiator all running slightly cooler.
